Our Story

Welcome to Hip-Hop Beauty Circa 1973 (HHB Circa '73) — an immersive luxury culturalecosystem where hip-hop heritage meets modern beauty, fashion, technology, and commerce.
Co-founded by Ashunta Sheriff-Kendricks and Thembisa Mshaka, HHB is a curated, shoppable fusion of art, fashion, music, AI technology, live performance, and experiential retail. Rooted in the five decades of hip-hop culture that redefined global beauty standards, HHB honors the pioneers while spotlighting today's innovators shaping what beauty means now.
From braid bars and makeup activations to runway moments, live performances, art exhibitions, and tech-driven storytelling, HHB transforms self-expression into a high-impact, monetizableexperience. This is where authenticity becomes aspiration, culture becomes commerce, and beauty becomes a global language — creating a powerful platform for brand partnerships, licensing, and long-term cultural relevance.
